National U16 Strokeplay & IC: Unfortunately, Kerry’s great run of success since 2018 came to an end last Sunday in Bagenalstown but Fionn McMonagle fought hard in the Singles to get amongst the prizes before the closing holes went against them. We thank Derry McCarthy & Aedaoin O’Sullivan for travelling with the team to the South East last weekend. Listowel Scratch Cup Weekend: Well done to Connie O’Sullivan on winning the Intermediate Mens event last last Sunday as Eileen McCarthy was the winner of the Ladies Gross prize. Damien Fleming was third in the Scotch Foursomes event on Saturday meanwhile with Tralee’s Jason O’Regan. U16 Captain’s Prize: Thanks to the over 60 players who took part in Fionn McMonagle’s event on Wednesday August 20th last and for all those who helped out with the food on the day. Overall Winner: Fionn Culloty, Overall Runner-Up: Rory Moynihan, Overall Third: Caolan Prendergast, Gross: Fionn McMonagle. 18 Hole Winner: Brian O’Connor, 18 Hole-Runner-Up; Sam O’Donoghue, 18 Hole Third: Dylan McCarthy. Munster Inter-Counties: Best Wishes to the club players involved in the four Kerry teams heading to Ardnacrusha in Clare for these events this weekend. Best Wishes also to James Fleming (Senior Men) and Gearoid Cronin (Junior Men) in their role as managers with two of the sides. Ricky Kelly: We look forward to welcoming everyone for this event this weekend as we thank the Tatler Jack Bar for their sponsorship of the event once more. Reminder it is a Three Ball 36 Hole event for the Adults and an 18 Hole Two Ball event for the U16’s. The Sunday evening Barbeque which includes both the entertainment as well as the presentation begins at 6pm that evening.
