National Ladies Strokeplay: Well done to Eileen McCarthy on finishing fifth overall in the Intermediate event last weekend in McDonagh in Kildare. The club congratulates Tralee’s Charlotte Blake meanwhile on winning the Junior event last weekend. Enable Ireland Open Week: A week after their exploits in St Annes, congratulations to both Damien Fleming and Cillian Courtney on winning the Senior and Intermediate Gross prizes respectively at this event in Rocklodge in Cork last week. ESB U16 Scratch Cup: Congratulations to Aodhan O’Halloran on winning the U13 section in this event held in Cork on Monday evening August 11th last. Summer Series: In association with the Flesk Restaurant August 13th results- Winners: Gearóid Cronin, Tomas O’Sullivan, Max Moynihan & Rian Horgan, Runners-Up: Bobby Kelly, Oisin O’Mahony, Nathan Mulcahy & Dara Moynihan. Sunday Draws: Two Ball Scramble- First Nett: Ger O'Brien & Jerry Kelliher 36, Gross: Dave Spillane & Sean O'Brien 47 & Second Nett: Ger O'Brien & Denis Duggan 36½. Hole-In-One(s): James Foley (8th Hole) & Denis Duggan (15th Hole). Next Wednesday Augst 27th is the final event of this series and we ask everyone to be present for 6.30pm on the night due to fading daylight at present. U16 Competition: Wednesday August 13th- First Nett: James Whelan 29, Runner-Up: Ronan Browne 35, Third: Jack Gleeson 37, Gross: Fionn McMonagle 48 National U16 Weekend: Best wishes and a safe journey to our members heading to Bagenalstown in Carlow on Sunday for the National U16 Singles & Inter-County Championships as Aodhan O’Halloran, Fionn McMonagle, Thomas O’Sullivan & Fionn O’Callaghan represent both club and county. Listowel Scratch Cup events: Best Wishes to club members travelling to these events this coming weekend. Ricky Kelly: We look forward to welcoming everyone to the course next Friday to Sunday August 29th-31st for the Ricky Kelly Memorial.
